Takeovers are a fixed-price menu, with chef preparing specialties that often aren't available in mid-Michigan. We partner with makers and artisans from across Michigan. Some work from home and otherwise sell only through Etsy.com. Some have their own stores. Some wholesale, but in limited quantities. We work with vendors of all sizes and sometimes that means very limited supplies. But we're confident you'll find something you love on every visit, even if it's different than what we had last time you came.
Just what it sounds like. A concessions area with pre-made sandwiches, fresh fruit, chips and other treats for quick refreshment. It serves a selection of nonalcoholic beverages including Faygo and Vernors products (both being made-in-Michgian brands). We also dip cones and make "ice cream floats" using locally made ice cream most days, and keep a cooler of milk and oher necessities for the growing number of folks living downtown.
School groups visiting the Capitol often order takeout lunches for their students, so it can be a little loud and busy in the spring!
